Creamy White Sauce Bacon Mac and Cheese

1 cup 2% milk

8 oz Lowfat cream cheese

16 oz low fat sour cream

1 lb hickory smoked bacon

1-1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

2 Tablespoons fresh,  finely chopped garlic

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 cup grated Parmasan cheese

1 red bell pepper chopped

1 large purple onion chopped

1 pound dry pasta of your choice

1. Cut bacon into small pieces and fry them until very crispy, set aside the cooked bacon.  When cool, crumble and save for the garnish.

2. Pour out all but 1/4 cup bacon grease which is left in the pan,

3. Saute 1 large purple onion and 1 red bell pepper in the bacon grease until tender and add the rest of the ingredients into the pan.

4. Stir constantly until all of the ingredients are incorporated.( Keep on low heat until pasta is cooked stirring every 2 or 3 minutes.)

5. Cook pasta according to the directions on the package. I prefer using barilla pasta if it's dried.

6. Plate the pasta and pour the desired amount of sauce on the pasta.

7. Garnish with fresh bell pepper and crumbled bacon that was set aside.

To make this a gkuten free dish, use gluten free pasta.

Happy Creating,
